My name is Elizabeth Crisci. I'm a lover, teacher, and jewelry designer. I live in Bushwick, Brooklyn with my rescued French Bulldog, Cookie, and a good number of houseplants (ferns are my favorite).
I was born to a family of two amazing grandmothers. One who taught me to make things with string before I learned how to spell my name.
Knitting, embroidering, spinning wool into yarn, knotting silk, wrapping wire, when I am doing fine work with my hands I am at peace. My other grandmother was a free spirit and also a yoga teacher in the 1960's, as was her own mother before that. On this side of the family I was introduced to eastern spirituality, reading tarot, yoga and meditation from an early age.
I began my own yoga practice at 10 years old, and my meditation practice started shortly after. Practicing ritual and spellwork was a natural exploration for me through this time of my life. I am forever grateful for this unique family that shaped me so specifically to be the woman that I am.
I knew at a young age that I had to let my heart lead the way, and I've spent my life figuring out how to do just that.
I take risks, I care a lot, I love fiercely and I sit quietly.
I started teaching yoga at 19 years old in New York City, and I have never turned back. I was blessed to find the most amazing teachers, who led the way for me to become an independent thinker with the best resources. I am so grateful for Alan Finger, Jillian Pransky, Cyndi Lee, Nevine Michaan, Abbie Galvin and Francesca Bove. They continue to guide and inspire me.
I fell in love with mala beads during my first teacher training. I sat with them, wished on them, chanted with them, wore them proudly with yoga pants, wore them proudly with cowboy boots, I've cherished them and I've lost them on the street.
Love by E was founded in 2014. It is the expression of my love for yoga, for meditation, for art and for beauty.
My collections are inspired by my teachers, my relationships, nature, mythology, lore, and by you.
A woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and knows how to pick herself up by her bootstraps. A woman who is just as comfortable in sweatpants as in designer dresses because she is comfortable in her own skin. The kind of woman who lets herself fall in LOVE a little everyday!
